Rvshare is another peer-to-peer RV rental company. Working with individual RV owners allows them to offer a wide variety of options. They rent everything from pop-up campers to luxury motorhomes. Not sure you are ready to tow or drive an RV? Some RV owners offer delivery options! Have your camper delivered right to your campground or home. Probably the most significant difference between Outdoorsy and RVshare is RVshare doesn’t seem to have inventory in as many locations as Outdoorsy. They lack inventory in less populated areas.

Again, rental rates are set by individual RV owners. This makes it easier to find a good deal and an RV that fits your budget. Prices will differ by location, season, and type of RV. RVshare does offer a 5% cash-back loyalty program, which might be good if you are looking to rent an RV more than once. If you are planning a big trip, make sure to book an RV with unlimited mileage. RVshare has a 4 out of 5 star rating based on just over 1,700 reviews. Not quite the impressive numbers seen with Outdoorsy’s reviews, but still not too bad! RVshare has an A+ rating with the BBB.
Chances are if you’re already in the market for an RV rental, you’re familiar with Cruise America. You’ve probably even seen their branded RVs at a National Park or campground. Cruise America is a corporate company that is nothing like Outdoorsy or RVshare. They offer a fleet of motorhomes spread across the county. It’s not a peer-to-peer marketplace like the other two. There are a few downsides to this. Cruise America doesn’t offer a variety of different types of RVs. They only have truck campers and Class C motorhomes. Another disadvantage is the price. Renting through Cruise America is generally much more expensive than the first two options. You have to pay based on mileage, and this can add up quickly. Finding an RV in less populated locations can also be a challenge as Cruise America rental centers are mostly found in larger cities throughout the country. But, regardless of the downsides, there are a few reasons to rent an RV through Cruise America.

Cruise America Pricing
Prices are going to fluctuate based on season, location, and availability. While nightly rates may look low at around $99/night, that doesn’t include mileage. That’s going to cost you $.35/mile! Nightly rates are also going to skyrocket quickly as Cruise America charges for basically everything in the camper, including kitchen utensils, bedding, and even a generator.
Cruise America Reviews
According to its website, Cruise America has a 4 out of 5 star rating based on just over 1,000 reviews. If you search for “cruise america reviews”, you’ll see there are some not so happy campers out there. They currently have an F rating with the BBB. The BBB states, “BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning contracts and RV product issues. Complainants highlight the poor quality of RV's, and also instances in which the unit rented was advertised to handle issues for a specified trip but then failed.” Yikes!
Choosing the right RV rental company is a huge part of ensuring your experience is a good one. It would be a shame if you get a bad taste in your mouth for RVing just because of the rental company with whom you contracted through!
